The fans are excited for Under the Oak Tree Chapter 82 which is soon going to release. Maxi found Riftan covered in blood upon his return from finding him after the monster’s attack. After getting over her first apprehension, Maxi found that she could clearly see while coated in blood. She was instead concerned for his well-being. But Riftan has always seen things from a different angle. The monster almost got him, but he still felt bad for showing Maxi that.
This merely exemplifies Riftan’s overprotective nature toward Maxi, which is counterproductive because it could lead Maxi to develop a childish sense of entitlement, which would make her irritable. Let’s check back in the following chapter to see how Maxi handles this issue.

Ruth’s apology to Maxi opens this chapter. Ruth wanted to continue teaching Maxi magic because she was struggling to master her abilities. Instead of forewarning Maxi, he expressed regret for the ordeal she endured.
After hearing noises in the main hall, Maximilian eventually decides to investigate. When she arrived, the knight was holding a bloodied suit of armor. Maxi reassessed the situation and concluded that it was, in fact, Riftan’s armor. So, she hastily goes to see how Riftan is doing.
Riftan seems to be worried about Maximilian in a way that isn’t the same as everyone else. They won’t notice much of a difference in the short term, but they will have some psychological fallout in the future. Therefore, Riftan needs to learn to be less overprotective.
Being tough and capable of standing on one’s own is admirable, but it’s important to remember that there are limitations to what any human being can bear. Because Riftan has seen blood firsthand, he views familiarity with the sight as a negative trait, and he apparently wants his sister to have the same experience.
It may appear that Riftan is being excessively cautious with Maxi, as if all she should do is play with cats. But Riftan isn’t a typical overprotective parent. Maxi, in his mind, is the adored and pampered daughter of a powerful nobleman.
Riftan doesn’t want Maxi to have any problems that she never had to deal with at home. But he has no idea that Maxi suffered abuse. For that reason, Maxi’s unease with his flower-like attentions is understandable.
